FAQs
Can I claim on private health?
Clinical Pilates is a service covered by most private health funds as it is taken by a physiotherapist. Claim entitlements depend on your policy level. If you are unsure of what your entitlement is, contact your health fund provider.
Can I still participate if I’m injured?
An initial assessment is required for all individuals by one of our physiotherapists before starting clinical Pilates. This will ensure that your injury will not prevent or limit your participation. In some cases, such as lower back pain or postural problems, clinical Pilates can actually assist in your recovery.
Do I have to do beginners if I’m already very fit?
The initial assessment will help to determine what level of fitness and core strength you have and you may be surprised by the results! If you haven’t already partaken in Clinical Pilates before or if you have an injury, it’s often good to start with the beginners course to cover the basics. All of the exercises at any level can be made harder or easier depending on core strength.
